The FCSN Center, located at 2300 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, California, is the fundamental part of our Dream Project to expand our already rich programs into a community of love, hope, and respect. The center serves as the FCSN headquarter, a resource center, a service center and a community center, while we continue all local programs and family support regular gatherings to serve people all over the Bay Area. The Center will benefit our whole community of special needs.

The Making of FCSN Center

FCSN started the "Dream Center" project in 2002. After 2 years of planning and design effort with our architects and consultant team, meeting with the community, and several months of meeting and negotiation with Fremont City staff, CalTrans (California State Department of Transportation), Alameda County Water District, Union Sanitary District, and other jurisdictions and agencies, we finally launched our construction project with a ceremonial ground breaking in the winter of 2003. The actual construction started after the rainy season in early 2004. The main construction was completed in spring 2006. We wrapped up the finishing touch such as dry walls, drop ceilings, exterior stucco finishing, and the interior details in summer 2006,

The FCSN Center grand opening was held on October 8, 2006. It is the FCSN's dream come true and a major milestone in FCSN history. We thank all of you who helped make this possible.

The FCSN Center Is Completed - The Dream Project Has Just Begun
The completion of FCSN Center is a milestone in the Dream Project, but it is only a beginning. The Center is only the hardware, and now we have to add the software (programs) to make it into the Community Center for children and adults with special needs. Our current programs include seminars, workshops, classes, dance and music therapy, physical therapy, playgroups, and a youth club. The Center and the nearby Peralta Apartments will allow us to provide programs and activities that support special-need individuals of all ages and their families, and provide new opportunities, such as job training and day programs for adults with special needs. Two of the high priority programs are the Adult Day Program and Supported Living Program.
